Description |
The Pastoral Counselling programmes prepares students to serve in non-professional counselling of people in a variety of agency and ministry settings. These can include social concerns and church based services.
The courses provide students with a foundation based on biblical principles and values, counselling knowledge and skills needed to work effectively as a lay counsellor. The distinctive of this programme is its holistic approach in integrating counselling knowledge, skills and strategies with Biblical foundation and faith practices.
This Masters' programme is not a clinical licensure degree , however it can be credited to. other colleges/schools for students wanting to pursue further a licensure and professional recognised degree. When the students have completed this programme of study, they will have received a comprehensive graduate experience that prepares them cognitively, clinically and spiritually. |

The courses are offered on a modular hybrid format with regular facilitation sessions and/or week long intensive sessions. There is a combination of academic instruction and case studies on campus and online as well as clinical fieldwork and counselling internship. |
