Description The purpose of the Elementary Christian Teacher Education program is to equip men and women to serve Christ in Christian day school ministry. This program will provide the student with a philosophy of Christian Education, a knowledge of Bible content, Biblical principles, and the educational skills to meet the demands for trained teachers in Christian elementary schools, grades K through 8. Those who complete the program are eligible for certification by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). In this program of study students are required to complete 31 hours of Bible, 7 hours of theology, 49 hours of general education, 36 hours of professional studies and some additional courses to complete 130 semester hours. This is designed as a four year program.
