Description | The Biblical studies program is designed to provide students with an excellent knowledge base in the Old and New Testaments including an introduction to the historical, geographical, sociological, and archaeological backgrounds; a familiarity with the theological themes of the Bible; and the skills to interpret biblical texts for the purpose of understanding and application. In addition, students will be challenged to grow in personal spiritual formation, interpersonal relationships, ethics, critical thinking abilities, and ministry skills. We believe that the academic discipline of biblical studies is a means of loving God with our minds, and that such study opens doors to lives that participate in service and ministry. Career Path Options: Graduates are prepared to enter staff positions in churches and parachurch organizations. Future Education Possibilities: This degree program will provide students with the undergraduate prerequisites for graduate studies at a seminary or Christian university. |
